If you want to cry due to laughter and cry because you really need to express your admiration for a well-written (understatement of the century) fic, or beg an author to continue with the fic or else you’ll kill yourself… this one is for you. I am a personal fan of the author and the fic… and I have been threatening Aki with my gattling gun to write the forthcoming chapters – to no avail of course (don’t you know that bugnuks can also slash through metals?). But either way, I may have failed but recommending this fic is an honor for me. Reading this will change your life, I swear!
Review
Every chapter is a masterpiece. There is no question with regards to the writing style, the grammar and the fic construction as a whole – with a little note on some typographical errors that Aki had more or less been cleaning up. Nothing big though, because the story sequence will entirely make you forget about everything.
For the plot, nothing beats this fic, I tell you. The succession of the story is so well-planned, meaning no loose strings and useless scenes. There are a couple of pairings that enhance the storyline and every character has his own place and special time. Needless to say, the characterizations are very good and what makes things even better is that no one (and I mean no one) is out of character, for me, that is.
Everyone is a round character, each persona is versatile and adds a whole lot of flavor to the fic. Another point is that, it doesn’t focus much on SenRu – what I mean is, it is SenRu, but the way the fic was constructed doesn’t saturate us with SenRu. I believe it was created in such a way that readers will crave for more SenRu action. What’s more is that the author herself is well-reflected in the fic, the witty humor and the atypical yet possible to be emotional nature of the fic well characterizes Aki Midori.
So to sum it up, a perfect story with a perfect structure. The best mix of characters and the best mix of correlated events makes me give this a hundred over five… need I say more? I'd have to give this fic a 100 out of 5 (no typos, I assure you).
