At long last, here are the results of SenRu Day 2005's Fan Fiction Challenge! First of all, we would like to apologize for the delay of releasing the results for the reason that we have been quite busy with a few things during the past month.
And as you guys know, we had only 4 entries (2 for each challenge), so the judges decided that instead of dividing the entire challenge into two, there would be one major fic challenge - that is, we just decide which among the four fics are the best. So basically, we have three awards to present:
1. SenRu Day 2005 Fan Fiction Challenge Overall Winner
2. Honorable Mention for the Most Number of 7-11's inserted in a fic
3. Voter's Choice Award
So without further ado, we would like to present the winners of this year's challenge...
Changes by May
SenRu Day 2005 Fan Fiction Challenge Overall Winner
Overall Score: 82.5%
Curious Play by May
Honorable Mention for the Most Number of 7-11's inserted in a fic
Changes by May
Voter's Choice Award
We created a specific criteria for judging each entry for this year's challenge:
1. Tragic Element - 40%
2. Style and Technique - 30%
3. Originality - 30%
For the Voter's Choice Awards (August 11-September 16, 2005), we have the following results (based from 67 total votes):
a. Changes by May (26 votes) - 39%
b. Aishite Imasu by Ginnie (22 votes) - 33%
c. Curious Play by May (10 votes) - 15%
d. Like the Alphabet by Hanabi Reeza (9 votes) - 13%
So congratulations, May for sweeping this year's challenge!
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank those who participated, failed to participate (because of late entries) in the challenge, to those who voted for the Voter's Choice Awards and to all the SenRuSen fans in the globe for making this challenge possible and successful. The staff is in the process of conceptualizing yet another challenge to invigorate and keep the SenRu flame burning. We hope that you will give us the same support at you have given for this challenge, and maybe more.
Again, thank you very much.
